NABU produces disinfectants during the corona crisis
Due to the increased global demand for disinfectants and the associated delivery bottlenecks, entrepreneurial flexibility is required. NABU is now working with the district administration of Schwandorf and mixing disinfectants in larger quantities to meet current needs. The authority supplies raw alcohol as the necessary raw material and NABU uses it to produce the correct mixture. The further distribution is then coordinated by the disaster control of the district administration.
Practice day of the TH Nürnberg at NABU - anything but superficial!
On 5th of March 2020 NABU took part at the practice day of the university TH Nürnberg. Three students were interested in getting to know NABU better. After a brief introduction of the company and a brief introduction to the subject of surface pretreatment of metals, some trials followed in the technical center. In order to get to know the difference between the different applications, the trials were performed in dipping and spraying. After a subsequent powder coating, the mechanical test took place to ensure that the paint adhesion is OK. In addition, bath analyzes of the used chemicals and layer weight determinations were carried out in the laboratory. The day was rounded off with a production tour and a final discussion. The feedback from the students was great!

NABU again at the education fair in Maxhütte
This year 94 exhibitors ensured a record participation at the 18th education fair in Maxhütte-Haidhof. NABU was also represented again to show young people the career opportunities at NABU in a personal conversation. The trainee film of the industrial park in Stulln also gave deeper insights into the jobs of laboratory chemist and chemical technician. The pH value measurement specially prepared for the trade fair encouraged people to participate. The pH value of everyday liquids such as cola or juice could be determined independently. This was very well received by the young people. The current trainees at NABU and the trainers have received very positive feedback on the event. NABU will definitely be there again next year and is now looking forward to many applications.
